Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow

Shama lives in a little villa. On the ground floor, the brother in law lives with his family. Shama, her husband, Shailesh and their two kids live on the first floor. They also have two daughters of Shailesh’s sisters living with them. Years ago, her mother in law had built this house brick by brick, which they modified to make it a slightly bigger one. Shama’s mother in law sometimes lives at her brother’s in law place and sometimes at hers. After all there is only a small staircase between both the houses. And the doors are always open.

Shama’s kids love their grandmom to bits. And they were quite disappointed that granny could not accompany them to their latest holiday to Kulu Manali. This was the first time that Shama and her family was going so far (up north) for a longer holiday. Since Shailesh has a business that he runs himself, it becomes very difficult for him to take a long holiday. Normally they would just take short road trips. The kids absolutely loved traveling in the long distance train. Shama was proud of the fact that the kids ‘mixed’ around with other kids. Once they reached Kullu, it was heaven on earth. Shama loved it because it was the first time she saw snow. Her younger son loved the snow so much that he wanted to take it back home from granny. He even got a picture clicked with him and a fistful of snow in both his hands. Once they came back and the family was going through the albums, he naughtily told his grandmom; “Aaji, I wanted to get snow for you. But the by the time I got it back, it melted!!” Its one experience they will never felt. Because in their head, they still got the snow home!
